Summary
This position shall be responsible for security services with emphasis on service to events, ASM Global employees and general security issues within each ASM Global-managed facility. Additional duties may be responsible for the development and implementation of operational policies and security-related procedures. This position secures property during the move in/out of trade shows, conventions or events, and performs the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Secures property.
Locks and unlocks facility doors.
Conducts routine property walks.
Responds to emergency situations.
Secures the safety of all individuals on the premises.
Appropriately deals with 'unruly' people.
Works with local Fire and Police Departments to secure off-duty details.
Works independently and judges and assesses situations for immediate response.


Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or G.E.D.; some college preferred
Minimum 2 years security guard experience, preferably in similar environment
Valid driver's license required


Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent organization skills
Strong customer service skills
Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
Ability to work irregular hours including, night shifts, weekends and holidays
Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
Some computer knowledge

This position will require a considerable amount of walking, climbing, stooping and possibly heavy lifting. The position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Projected Compensation Range: $16.25 - $16.45 Hourly
